ABOUT US:

Ghousia Industrial and Engineering Trust was founded by Lt. Janab Alhaj Nabi Sharieff Saheb in 1962 to perpetuate the memory of his father Lt. Janab Mohammed Ghouse Saheb.

This Trust established a Polytechnic for girls to promote technical education for women. The venture of the Trust has promoted opportunities for brilliant girls in General and girls from the Muslim community in particular who are in pursuit of a technical career. The Trust also provided an excellent secured atmosphere for girl students by way of ample accommodation on a sprawling three acre land with spacious classrooms, well equipped workshops, laboratories.

Ghousia Polytechnic has highly qualified women teachers, who are oriented with the current curriculum resulting in excellent results over last few years.

The Polytechnic therefore is one of the most sought after institutions for girls. Public and Private Sector undertakings conduct regular campus interviews for selection of candidates.

Electronics & Communication Engineering:

This course would help students to become financially independent & would keep them abreast with the tremendous technological advancements in the field of Electronics & Communication Engineering. This course additionally gives students full benefit of both hardware & software technologies right from the basics to teh most recent areas of VLSI, VHDL, PLC, Embedded Technologies etc.

Commercial Practice:
This course can be opted by students interested in the field of business & commerce. The aim is to educate students both in office & business management, to equip them with knowledge in the field of commerce & economics, office administration, maintenance of computerized accounts, e-commerce, trading etc.

Apparel Design & Fashion Technology:

This course can be opted by students with a flair for designing & creativity, who wish to pursue a career in garment industry, interested in textile designing techniques, such as Embroidery, Knitting, Fabric Painting, Printing, Tie and Dye, etc.

So the maintenance of an aircraft requires a high standard of maintenance knowledge and skill. Unlike many other faculty of engineering, the training of an aircraft maintenance engineer has to be more practical oriented and sophisticated.

Now a day’s many new airlines are coming up not only in Bangladesh but also in many parts of the world. As a result of the demand of Aircraft Maintenance Engineers are increasing day-by-day.

ACCREDITATION:

Affiliation: AIB is affiliated by Bangladesh Technical Education Board (BTEB), Ref: BAKASHIBO/ KA/ 2004/ 2810/ 4770 dated 01.11.2004.

Acceptance/Approval: Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh(CAAB), the regulatory authority of Bangladesh has accepted and approved the complete BTEB Curriculum. (Ref: CAA/ 5504/ 48/ AELD/ 75 dated 26.01.2005.)

Who are AME?

An Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) is a person licensed to ensure that aircraft are airworthy in accordance with local and international aviation standards. Each aircraft is required to be certified for Airworthy before being accepted by the pilot for a take-off. This certification is required to be carried out by an appropriately license AME who has been specifically trained to inspect and evaluate the airworthiness aspect of the aircraft and its system. Thus, an AME is expected to be a dedicated, knowledgeable and skilled professional. In fact, the lives of the passengers and crew on board an aircraft vests in the hands of an AME.

Skill and professionalism is infused only upon experience and exposure. An AME therefore exposes himself/herself to several such aircrafts, engines or systems and extends his/her scope of license to cover various types of airplanes. This is the way of increasing his qualification, skills and market demand through which one goes up the ladder of success in this vast field of Aviation industry.

There goes a saying ´AME´s are not born, they are made. Hence, a student with an average academic background could as well be crafted into a specialized AME if he has within him, the 3D’s i.e dedication, discipline and dynamism. It is here that he/she is nurtured to graduate as a technical doctor for the AIRCRAFT, its engines, electrical, instruments and Radio systems.

Our History

AIB is the Institute of Aircraft Maintenance Engineering, has been established in 1999, with a vision to develop skilled man power for Aircraft maintenance and for other sector of Aviation.

AIB is located at Uttara Model Town near to Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) and specializing in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Training for the fresh students. It also conduct CAAB approved short & refreshers courses for experienced aircraft maintenance engineering personnel.
